    • Outstanding GCSE results for St Bernard's Year 11 Students, 2017

      Published 25/08/16

Staff and Governors extend their congratulations to the Year 11 students who received their examination results on the 24th August.

Once again we are delighted to report outstanding results.

20% of year 11 students gained between 5 and 11 A*-A or 7-9 at GCSE, 17 of whom gained between 7-11 A*-A or 7-9 grades at GCSE. 25% of all GCSE grades were A*-A or 7-9.

At St Bernard’s 84% of year 11 students achieved a 4 (standard pass) at GCSE in both English and Mathematics; 87% of our students gained 5 or more GCSEs including English and Mathematics at A*-C (or 4-9).

90% of students achieved a 4 or higher at GCSE in English and 87% a 4 or higher at GCSE in Mathematics.

Congratulations go to all our students for their hard work and achievement and we take this opportunity recognise the care and support given to them by parents, carers and the adults in the school in achieving such success.

‘When you are at school you do not realise what an impact your education will have on your life and the places it will take you.  St Bernard’s was a big part of my foundations.  If you have strong solid foundations, you can build anything you want, knock it down and re-build something new if you desire.  However, without good foundations, you will not build anything at all.’
